Corbin was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and has been photographing since she was 13 years old. She attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in photography and Italian language studies, and graduated with a BFA from the Department of Photography and Imaging. In 2003, Corbin won the Seth Tobias Award for her artist's book, Mending Memories, a documentation of the New York Doll hospital, as well as the Golden Light Award for Portraiture in affiliation with the Maine Photographic Workshops. In 2004, she was honored by the same award for her documentary, Passione: The Sicilian Easter Processions. Corbin works internationally, photographing events as well as editorial projects and divides her time between New York and Italy. She has travelled around Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia and the United States for reportage projects and continues to examine new cultures through the photographic medium. Corbin has been published internationally for her destination photography. Clients include Condé Nast, Wedding Magazine (UK), Rose Hall Resort with Lisa Light Ltd., the Markle Foundation, and others.
